Gonerby & Barrowby took advantage of a free Sunday to play their first ever 11 a-side game, which proved a great run out for both squads.
Gonerby started much the brighter and looked the more organised unit, not letting Barrowby settle and took the lead in the first quarter when Sam Angeloni found the net, followed by a Barrowby own goal following an excellent corner from Will Mayer. Barrowby managed to pull one back just before half-time and went on to dominate the third quarter, scoring 2 more goals to lead 3 -2 , and then a fourth in the final quarter. However Gonerby battled on, with Angeloni getting his second and Rose, Hubbard and Brown coming close to get the equaliser, without any luck to leave the final score 3 - 4 to Barrowby.
